Thought i should document my Korea Trip somewhere while it is still fresh in my mind heh. Its especially crucial because...... well, i did have some fangirl luck while i was there! :)
So from late April to early May, i was in Korea with Yuning and Jianwei (my two good friends from secondary school and soon-to-be travel buddies maybe? hahaha, because a week after we came back from korea, we were 'ferried' off to Batam with another group of friends!). It was my second trip back to Korea and i must say that Korea never failed to disappoint (not that it has)! I have always love that country (not because i'm a vivid kpop-song-kind-of fangirl; well, i love listening to korean songs but for the record, i dont chase stars or you know, buy all their merchandises)! Their food, the shopping, the super friendly people, the sceneries, the places of interests... all these are definitely an excuse good enough for another trip back!
I still cant believe how lucky we are. Before we even left for Korea, we met KIM SOO HYUN! I remember how i was pretty bumped because i couldnt go for Kim Soo Hyun fanmeet as i was heading to Korea that night then guess what, we saw him! The best thing? We were just mentioning about him being in Singapore and everything else and then suddenly, a huge commotion happened behind us where a group of girls were screaming and chasing after a buggy. And i was like "Omgosh, imagine if that buggy stops right at our gate!" Because well, whoever is in that buggy is definitely an idol or a star to stir such commotion right? THEN GUESS WHAT. Lo and behold, it did stopped at our gate and some of those korean ajummas who sat near the entrance went '김수현와서 ' and there we are, going 'OH MY GOD?!?!?'. So yeah, we did see him up close (so handsome omg) but didnt managed to snap a good photo of him because of all his bodyguards. And when we walked past him to board the plane, a whole group of girls on the outside have their phones stuck onto the glass, busy snapping photos of him. Guess sometimes, being a super idol aint really a good thing isnt it?
We had our second star-struck encounter during our trip itself. And that someone is Running Man's HAHA! Our intention was just to head to Paljamakchang to have dinner because well, most people will at least have that place listed in their itinerary hahaha. But what we didnt expect was seeing Haha and Byul! We entered the newly-renovated restaurant (no longer called Paljamakchang guys) and have no idea it was opened by Haha. But then, we thought we did saw Haha's ex-roommate (he did appeared on RM before) but wasnt too sure. THEN HALF-WAY THROUGH OUR MEAL, HAHA CAME. Super star-struck because he looked so flawless. He even popped by to strike a brief conversation, gave us handshakes and autographs. Haha even asked for my age (Ok fine, i did get this question quite a number of times during this trip. My friends can definitely affirm that LOL). Really, what are the odds of meeting both Kim Soo Hyun and Haha man! If only we saw Lee Min Ho too........... ha, one can dream right :)

Cafes in Korea are so dang awesome and picturesque. When i grow old, i will definitely want to open a cafe high up in the mountain too hehehe. Out of all the cafes i have been to, i think i will give two special shout-outs to my absolutely-definitely-my-most-favorite-of-the-favourite cafes - Sanmootonge and Banana Tree. Sanmootonge is a cafe situated right on top of a hill/mountain. Definitely one of the most picturesque place i have ever been too. Imagine drinking a lemonade under a big umbrella with wind blowing in your face every now and then and having an absolutely beautiful view with mountains and forested area in front of you. Well, thats Sanmootonge for you. Everything at this cafe is pretty laid-back and i think we probably stayed there the longest as compared to being at other cafes. Highly recommended to take a cab up unless you are ready to hike up those steep slopes (Which was what happened to us when we are coming down and got caught in a very heavy rain and wind "storm" hahaha. Thank god we took a cab up when we went there!). Banana Tree is a quaint little cafe at Sinsa with really limited seatings. See those little potted plants? They are actually cakes (the soil are crushed oreos, super creative)! How cute is that right?! I'm definitely heading back to Banana Tree when i'm in Korea again! This time, i will probably go for both their potted plants (they called it flower paap) and iced candy floss latte!!
I will be back soon, Korea!
Stay safe and happy, guys x
