I CAN NOW SAY THAT I HAVE OFFICIALLY GRADUATED FROM TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC WITH A DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY! WOOHOOO!
It feels so so so surreal to actually go up on the stage under the watchful eyes of many others to collect that one certificate. The very one in which you worked hard for, burned many midnight oils for, cried and got stressed out for. Yes, 3 years for that certificate is my diploma! Some people might be thinking that 'Oh, its just a diploma. Its nothing big.' Yeah, go and knock your head against the wall. It may not be as significant as getting a degree but hell, we actually went through loads in order to get that diploma. Whats with the tons of projects, exams, presentations and the crazy Major Project in Year 3 (i still get the jitters whenever i think about it - 3 presentations, weekly progress write-ups and the system itself omgosh). So no matter what, every polytechnic graduand here deserves a little pat on the back and a 'Well done, you totally deserve to get this diploma' something-along-this-line-kind-of statement :)
I was really excited about my graduation ceremony (my friends on whatsapp can definitely attest to that hahaha) and it was really a pity that i couldnt get to sit with the whole lot of them. I still remembered how i get the jitters about going up the stage and well, walk the red carpet towards the director to get that diploma AND had literally no one around me to tell to. So i kind of resorted to whatsapp-ing my clique. My 'stage moments' came as quickly as it went (ok, maybe my mind kind of switched off when i was walking that stage. i couldnt even remember if i shook the director's hand until i saw the photographs my parents took hehe)!

Other than obtaining a diploma, i have also gained many great friends along the way in these 3 years and have also gotten so much closer to my secondary school friends (despite the fact that all of us went to a different poly and to different courses). I'm really grateful to each and everyone of them and needless to say, my parents. My bestest parents have always been there for me, listening to my rants over school work and every other little thing, encouraging me, giving me advices when i'm clueless... and the list goes on. So thankful and grateful to have such supportive parents with me and i guess i cant really repay them much now, other than just putting in my greatest efforts in my studies. As for my friends, i'm really really so grateful to them that i simply just cant put them into words. I will definitely say that its not just my work and effort that have gotten me the results today, but also my friends and group mates. Because the major part in polytechnic education is projects. And i so definitely would not have made it without them (well, who can survive doing an entire group project alone? haha). Such a pity that i didnt manage to take a photo with all my other friends and coursemates. WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?! But oh well, now that we have the 'diploma stage' done and over with, it means that there is going to be a start of something new! I'm sure everyone will do well in their university, work, NS etc. But for me, HELLLLO UNIVERSITY (not very sure if this is something i should be really excited about hahaha, but i am still grateful and thankful that i got accepted and into the course that i wanted of course).
Lastly, here's my 10 seconds of glory on stage! Still cant believe that my 3 years in TP and in BIT is over (time really flies man)! Could never have achieved or done all this without the support from my family, friends and everyone else. So grateful for everyone, everything and the little things that have brought me to where i am today xxx
Stay safe and happy, guys x
